The Stone of Souls allows a consciousness to persist beyond the physical body, casting the departed into the Drift Realm as luminous orbs visible to the living. Once within this spectral space, a soul may navigate for a limited range toward a nearby spawnable base or their planet home region. Souls lacking a designated point of return are left to wander the Drift Realm in a state of eternal waiting. While spirits can be retrieved and restored to life, the permanent act of Soul Wrecking demands a taxing and arduous ritual, the duration of which is dictated solely by the strength of the spirit being destroyed.
